Velantro keeps storage to a minimum. Nothing non-essential is set until you opt in, as required by the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR).

Strictly necessary (always on)

  • Sign-in session — keeps you logged in. Stored by our authentication provider for the length of your session.
  • velantro.cookie-consent.v1 — remembers your cookie choice for 12 months, so we don't keep asking.
  • Language and currency preference — remembers how you want prices shown.
  • Draft quotes and plan count — lets you see a quote or itinerary without an account.

These are required for the site to function, so they don't need consent.

Analytics (off until you consent)

Our analytics are first-party and cookie-free. When you opt in, we record which pages and features are used — for example "itinerary created" — with no visitor ID, no IP address and no cross-site tracking. If you decline, nothing is sent at all.

Marketing and affiliate tracking (off until you consent)

When you consent, outbound links to travel partners carry an attribution parameter so the partner can credit Velantro for the referral. If you decline, the same links still work — they simply go out untracked. Partners you click through to set their own cookies under their own policies.
